Each Masonic season, Ferraria Lodge holds raffles during the Festive Board. The proceeds are then distributed to charities chosen by the Worshipful Master.

For 2024, WM Alex Morrison selected several causes, including the Royal British Legion. The lodge contributed £200 towards their “Sleepover in the Complex” car park event.

Helping Lakelands Hospice

In April, it came to the Worshipful Master’s attention that Lakelands Hospice urgently needed funds to replace a number of thermostat valves. Several had failed completely, meaning energy and money were being wasted on unnecessary heating.

Ferraria Lodge stepped in immediately, funding the replacement of all the thermostats to ensure the hospice could continue its work without this added burden.

Presentation of the Donation

A cheque was presented to Ms. Sue Hall of the Lakelands Hospice management team. The presentation was made by WBro Alex Morrison, accompanied by WBro Steve Seward, Ferraria’s Charity Steward, and Bro Rob Poulter, the Lodge Secretary.

Their support demonstrated once again the commitment of Ferraria Lodge to making a positive difference in the local community.

In total Ferraria Lodge were able this year to provide over £1000 for local charities in addition to our member along with his company Taste Original handing over a cheque for £2390 for Teddies for Loving Care which is a County wide charity providing a Teddy for every child that has to spend time in one of the County Hospitals.
