LAMS

LAMS Corby is a newly formed group, created in 2025 to bring together the wives, partners, and female relatives of Freemasons in Corby. Inspired by the long-standing work of Northants LAMS, the Corby branch is part of a growing effort to ensure that women connected to Freemasonry have their own space for friendship, community involvement, and charitable giving.

The group was established with the support of local lodges and enthusiastic members who recognised the value of bringing the LAMS ethos to Corby’s vibrant Masonic community.

Purpose and Vision

LAMS Corby offers a welcoming environment for women who want to be part of the wider Masonic family. While not a Masonic organisation itself, it complements the values of Freemasonry—charity, integrity, and fellowship—through its own activities and support of local lodges.

The vision for LAMS Corby includes:

  • Creating a Social Hub – Providing regular opportunities for members to meet, socialise, and build lasting friendships.
  • Supporting Local Lodges – Assisting with social events, Ladies Nights, and charitable initiatives alongside the lodges of Corby.
  • Fundraising for Good Causes – Organising events to raise money for local charities, care homes, hospices, and Masonic-supported initiatives.
  • Building a Legacy – Establishing a strong foundation for future generations of Lady Associate Members in Corby.

Rooted in the Northants LAMS Legacy

While Corby LAMS is just beginning its journey, it draws inspiration from the well-established Northants LAMS—a group known for its decades of community service, support for Freemasonry, and promotion of friendship among its members.

The Corby group aims to build on that legacy by creating something uniquely local: a vibrant, active, and welcoming community of women who want to give back, get involved, and support each other.

Looking Ahead

LAMS Corby is already generating interest and enthusiasm among local families. As it grows, the group looks forward to making its mark—through charity work, social connection, and a commitment to the values that underpin both Freemasonry and the Lady Associate Members tradition.

With the support of Northants LAMS and the Corby lodges, this new group is poised to become a vital and valued part of Corby’s Masonic life.
